25. Matthew Harris ROBERTS was born about 1775 in Amherst Co, VA.^150,173 He died in 1826 at the age of 51 in Nelson Co, VA.¹⁸⁸ I have no other record of his death date other than this reference. However, Nancy Dawson (who never remarried) only had two children - b. 1823 and 1825 - and I am unable to find any other record of him.

Matthew Harris ROBERTS and Nancy DAWSON were married on 4 November 1819 in Amherst Co, VA.^188,189 Nancy DAWSON, daughter of John Sorrell DAWSON and Jane LYON, appeared in the census in 1860 in Nelson Co, VA.¹⁹⁰
