Feb. 21, 1854, Mrs. Susannah Waugh, born in Amherst Co., Va., 1761, wife of George Waugh, an old settler of Gallia Co., OH testified her brother, John Brown, left Amherst with three of his brothers and after more than two years service returned home wounded.

Susannah BROWN and George WAUGH were married on 21 June 1794 in Amherst Co, VA.¹⁴⁶ They¹⁴⁶ appeared in the census in 1850 in Gallia Co, OH.¹⁴⁷ George WAUGH was born in 1765.¹⁴⁷ He died on 8 March 1858 at the age of 93 at Kennedy Cemetery in Ohio Twp, Gallia, OH.¹⁴⁸ Amherst County, Virginia, in the Revolution, p 104
