49. John PADDOCK was born on 24 June 1695 in Yarmouth, Barnstable, MA.219,220 In 1720 he was an East Parish, Yarmouth, Barnstable, MA in whaling vessel captain.221 He was buried at Paddock Cemetery in East Dennis, Barnstable, MA.222 Curfman p 49:
On committee to locate a site for the meeting house, Eastham "now Welfleet" 16 June 1729. In his will, wife, executrix, given one-third of estate and empowered to divide lands held in common with brother Joseph and to sell to brother Ebenezer land where his house stood. Sons John, Adino and Enock took all land at Chatham and Yarmouth suject to widow's dower right. Inventory included "one negro woman...more Indian's service...a whale craft and part of a whale house."
Widow and family moved to Boston where she was admitted Brattle Square Church "from Church East Yarmouth" 5 Dec 1736.

John PADDOCK and Rebecca THATCHER were married on 17 October 1716 in Yarmouth, Barnstable, MA.223 Rebecca THATCHER, daughter of Josiah THATCHER and Mary HEDGE, was born about 1696 in Yarmouth, Barnstable, MA.223 She lived with her family in Boston, Suffolk, MA in 1736.224 She died after 1736 at the age of 40 in Boston, Suffolk, MA.223
