8. Zachariah PADDOCK was born on 20 March 1636 in Plymouth Colony, MA.^25,26 He died on 1 May 1727 at the age of 91 in Yarmouth, Barnstable, MA.²⁷ The obituary of Zachariah Paddock - NEHGS Records:

Yarmouth, (in the County of Barnstable) May 1st 1727.
This Day Dyed here Mr. Zechariah Paddock, in the 88th Year of his Age, was born at Plimouth in the beginning of the Year 1640. He retained his Reason to an uncommon degree, until his last Sickness, which lasted but a few Days : He was Married in the Year 1659 to Mrs. Deborah Sears born in this Town, and now Survives him ; having lived together almost 68 Years : and by her God Blest him with a numerous Offspring, especially in the third and fourth Generation, having left behind him of his own Posterity 48 Grand-Children, and 38 Great Grandchildren, and of this latter sort no less than 30 descended from his Second Son ; the Old Gentleman, his Wife, one of his Sons and his Wife, lived for a considerable time in a House by themselves without any other Person ; when there Age if computed together amounted to above Three Hundred Years : But what man is he that Liveth who shall not see Death. Mr. Paddock had obtained the Character of a Righteous man , and his surviving Consort now a Widow near Fourscore and Eight Years old, is well reported of for good Works : and one of those Widows who being desolate trusteth in God ; and serves him night and day, though the Infirmities of Age have banish'd her from his Temple.

Obituary says born beginning of 1640, died at age 88. If he was born 20 March 1636 as stated in the Plymouth Records he would have been aged 90. "Yarmouth, County Barnstable, 1 May 1727. This day died here Mr. Zachariah Paddock, in the 88th year of his age, was born in Plymouth in the beginning of the year 1640. He retained his reason to an uncommon degree, until his last illness, which lasted but a few days. He was married in 1659 to Mrs. Deborah Sears, born in this town, and now survives him, having lived together about 68 years, and by her, God blest him with a numerous offspring, especially in the third and fourth generations, having left behind him of his own posterity, 48 grand-children and 38 great grand-children, and of this latter sort no less than 30 descendants of his second son. The old gentleman, his wife, one of his sons and his wife lived for a considerable time in a house by themselves, without any other person, when their ages computed together amounted to over 300 years. Mr. Paddock had obtained the character of a righeous man, and his widow, now near fourscord and eight years old, is well reputed for good works." N.E. Weekly Journal, 5 June 1727

NEHGS Record, Vol XII, 1858, p 220:
Zechariah Paddock, son of the first Robert, lived in Yarmouth, (Cape Cod) and died there May 1, 1727. A very full and favorable account is given of him in the Register, vol 8, p 251, taken from the NE Weekly Journal, of June 5, 1727. He married Deborah Sears, (1659) who survived him, and left "of his own posterity, forty-eight grandchildren and thirty-eight great-grandchildren. The most of his descendants were through his son Zechariah, born in 1664.
